For 135 years, SMLS has been a place where girls are known, supported, and encouraged to grow into confident women who challenge and transform the world. This strong community - and the exceptional experiences it provides - has always been made possible by those who believe in our mission. As we launched our Annual Giving Campaign, we invite you to be a part of our mission and help ensure that every SMLS girl continues to benefit from the opportunities, care, and excellence that define our school.

Philanthropy plays a vital role in helping SMLS deliver on its mission. Annual Giving strengthens our academic and Signature Programs, supports our exceptional educators, and ensures that every girl benefits from rich, hands-on learning opportunities. At SMLS, girls occupy every leadership role, every spot on the math team, and every position in the robotics club, and it is your generosity that gives them these opportunities to develop the confidence and skills to meet the world knowing - truly knowing - that nothing can stand in their way.

Our newly renovated Lightbourn Library is a perfect example - transformed into a vibrant hub for exploration, collaboration, and connection and one that our students consistently list as a favourite location on campus. This space exists because of the generosity of our families, alumnae, Board of Governors, and friends of SMLS. Your support has made a lasting impact on the daily learning experience of every student.

We continue to identify new programs and learning resources that enrich our students’ experiences. While costs continue to rise, the partnership of our community ensures that SMLS can uphold the exceptional standard of learning and care that defines our school.
