St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School welcomes students from across the western GTA, and provides extensive, flexible, and reliable busing options for SMLS students in JK to Grade 12.

St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School welcomes students from across the western GTA through a variety of transportation methods, including walking, biking, school bus, GO Train and car. The school provides extensive, flexible, and reliable busing options for JK to Grade 12 in Oakville, Mississauga, Burlington, Etobicoke, Milton, Halton Hills, and Brampton.

If your home falls outside of the current service areas, please email bus@smls.on.ca to determine if arrangements for busing can be made, and for pricing. We work with our busing provider annually to ensure that the routes are as efficient as possible, providing the shortest ride time for each student. The actual routes depend on demand, so it is important that requests reach us early enough to plan accordingly.

Regular Service

AM and/or PM riders receive door-to-door service.
Occasional Riders

All SMLS students have access to the school bus program. Unscheduled service can be booked with the school’s Transportation Lead. A fee for unscheduled rides will be charged to the school account.

NEW in 2026-27!

We know that our families lead busy lives and that daily drop-offs and pick-ups by car are not always convenient. To better support our SMLS families and to reduce overall traffic congestion in our communities, we are introducing a pilot late bus program. In response to feedback from our families, we are offering a 5 p.m. bus to eligible students in outlying geographic areas.

Cost

SMLS has adjusted our costing to reflect expanded service, bringing it into line with other schools in our area. For families with multiple children attending SMLS, the second child receives a 25% discount, and each subsequent child receives a 50% discount.
