Application Process

Applying to SMLS


Through the application process, our goal is to get to know the student and her family. The process varies according to the grade to which a student is applying. Please click on the appropriate button below for more details on the application process by grade level.

Admissions Deadlines

We encourage all families to apply early. Applications to all grades are considered as space permits. If we are full at a grade level we will consider adding students to a waitpool once the application is complete.

  • Fall

    Application Deadline: November 5
    • For applications submitted by November 5 (for entry the following September), we will communicate admissions decisions by mid-December if all elements of the application process are complete.
  • Winter

    Application Deadline: February 14
    • For applications submitted by February 14 (for entry the following September), we will communicate admissions decisions by mid-March if all elements of the application process are complete.
  • Spring & Summer

    Applications received after February 14 will be considered on a rolling basis
    • Decisions will be communicated once the application is complete, subject to the availability of space in the grade to which a student is applying.

We are accepting applications for the upcoming school year. We may also have space in select grades for the current school year. To submit an application, please follow the instructions below. A non-refundable $200 application fee is required for all applications.

    2. Select the blue "Create Account" link to create a MySMLS username and password.
    3. After entering your basic information, select the "Create Account" button.
    • Our system may recognize you by your email address if you have inquired previously.
    • If the system recognizes your email address, your email address will be highlighted in red after you press "Submit."
    • If this occurs, select the "Forgot Login?" button. You will then be prompted to enter your email address to receive an automatic reply containing your MySMLS username and password.
    • Once you receive a MySMLS username and password you will have access to complete the online application, monitor your daughter's progress through the admissions process and learn more about St. Mildred’s-Lightbourn School
