Supplemental Costs

Supplemental charges vary from student to student depending on participation/usage. These costs are billed as incurred and are due upon receipt. Costs are approximate, based on the prior academic years, and subject to change.

Grade 9 Merit Scholarships

The Grade 9 Merit Scholarships were created to recognize and reward exceptional students entering Senior School who exemplify academic excellence, leadership, and service.

Current and new incoming Grade 9 students who demonstrate exceptional achievement, leadership, and commitment to our core values of Excellence, Courage, Integrity, and Belonging are eligible to apply for one of two $20,000 Grade 9 Merit Scholarships.

Applications for the 2026-27 Grade 9 Merit Scholarships are due February 20, 2026.

Applying for Financial Support

In order to apply for financial support, an Apple Financial Services application form must be completed annually. Apple Financial will review the application and provide a report on eligibility to the school’s Financial Aid Committee. The Financial Support Committee distributes awards as broadly as possible to the most deserving students. The school holds this information in strictest confidence and families are asked to do the same.

The cost to the family for this assessment is $130 and is payable directly to Apple Financial Services. Applications for financial aid are available online through the Apple Financial website at www.applefinancialservices.ca, and should be submitted at the same time that the SMLS application for admission is submitted. For existing SMLS families, the financial support application must be submitted by January 15th for the following academic year.

Tuition Refund Insurance

We include Tuition Refund Insurance in the monthly and the standard payment plans. Tuition Refund Insurance is optional for the advanced payment plan. For details, click here.
