President's Welcome

It is such a privilege to have been elected President of our Alumnae Executive for a second term. Once a Millie, Always a Millie is a phrase I have proudly embodied since graduating in 2008. SMLS has always held a special place in my life, and I have stayed committed to giving back to the school as a mentor, alumnae executive volunteer, and donor.  As I transitioned from my role on the Alumnae Executive as VP, Events to President, I wanted to apply and nurture the skills and relationships I’ve developed over the last 18 years as a Millie.  Then, the world threw us a curve-ball and we had to adapt!  As a new President, I struggled to find ways to keep our Executive, community, and new grads engaged.  Although my first term was challenging, my enthusiasm and passion has been completely renewed as we are able to meet as a community once again this year.  I cannot wait for the events we have planned for the year ahead!
Our goal as your Alumnae Executive is to connect you with the local and international network of SMLS alumnae, and to create programming that provides opportunities for you to benefit from both professionally and personally.  Whether you’re joining us for a virtual Speaker Series, or attending our annual Millie Christmas or Alumnae Brunch, I appreciate your contribution to our Alumnae community and will continue to work hard to keep us all connected.
As always, I encourage you to submit your exciting news and updates - we love celebrating your milestones and achievements as a community! Remember to update your information on SMLS Alumnae Connect, and to stay informed by following us on your preferred social media channel. I always enjoy getting to know members of our alumnae community, so please do not hesitate to contact me directly if you have any questions, or want to get to know me a bit better.  Now that we are able to meet in person again - I would love to see you all at the school or otherwise!
Wishing you all a safe and wonderful year ahead.

Your Alumnae Executive President,
Bisma Bhatti ‘08
