String Quartet Guest Performance

Our Middle School students were recently treated to a special guest performance by a String Quartet as part of their music curriculum. The concert featured classical music from the 1700s through to pop music of today. In addition to hearing the performance, students benefited from an overview of concert etiquette, an exploration of the differences between historical and contemporary musical pieces, an understanding of the role each instrument plays in the unique four-piece arrangement, as well as an understanding of how society and culture have influenced music over the years.
