The SMLS Advantage

SMLS Alumnae Celebrate Annual Reunion Weekend

At SMLS, community and connection extend well beyond graduation. Our alumnae remain an active, valued part of the SMLS family, demonstrating that "once a Millie, always a Millie" truly holds meaning here. Throughout the year, we host a wide range of alumnae events - from career panels to networking socials - that help graduates stay connected with each other, current students, and the school community.
One of the highlights of the year is our annual Reunion Weekend, which we celebrated this past weekend. The festivities kicked off with a spirited alumnae vs. grads dodgeball game, followed by a casual pub night, the Alumnae Association Annual General Meeting, and our signature Alumnae Brunch Celebration.

At the brunch, we proudly honoured Professor Melanie Woodin ’91 as the recipient of the 2024-2025 Outstanding Alumna Award. A distinguished scientist and academic leader, Melanie has made a profound impact in the fields of neuroscience and higher education, and will become the 17th President of the University of Toronto on July 1, 2025.

It was wonderful to see so many graduates return to campus, reconnect with old friends and faculty, and even bring their parents along to celebrate.

The strength of the SMLS network is just one of the many ways our community continues to support, inspire, and empower students and alumnae alike, year after year.
