The Yellow Rose Ceremony took place a few weeks ago at SMLS. It illustrates the cross-divisional connections between our JK-Grade 12 Millies and represents the friendships and mentorships that flow through our school community. Our youngest Millies in JK and SK proudly presented each graduate with a yellow rose, a symbol of the “big sister, little sister” relationships nurtured at SMLS.
The time-honoured tradition highlights the daily interactions and connections that occur across all grade levels. It reinforces the shared identities, the forming of a supportive community and the creation of lasting friendships at SMLS. The Yellow Rose Ceremony showcases the spirit of SMLS, a place where community fosters leadership that begins with everyday kindness.
