The Tradition of the Yellow Rose
The Yellow Rose Ceremony beautifully illustrates the cross-divisional connections that define our JK to Grade 12 Millies. This cherished event represents the deep friendships and mentorship that flows naturally through our school community every day. Our youngest Millies in JK and SK proudly gifted each graduating student with a yellow rose, which serves as a timeless symbol of friendship, growth, and the big sister, little sister relationships nurtured here at SMLS.
This time-honoured tradition highlights the meaningful, daily interactions that span across all grade levels. It reinforces our shared identity, strengthens our supportive community, and celebrates the creation of lasting friendships.
