He has served as Chief Financial Officer of Hudbay Minerals, Agrium, Brookfield Properties, General Growth Properties, Falconbridge, and Noranda, and as Executive Vice President and Chief Integration Officer of Nutrien following its merger with PotashCorp. During his career, Steve has led or advised on transactions exceeding US$75 billion, including major mergers, acquisitions, financings, restructurings, and business integrations.

Steve has served as Vice Chairman of Brookfield Incorporações, a director and Chair of the Pension Committee of Stelco, and a trustee of the Noranda Income Fund. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant and was named one of Canada's Top 40 Under 40 in 2005.
