Arts Night Showcases Amazing Student Talent

On June 1, the Arts Council hosted an Arts Awards Evening. The event began in the Art room and Student Lounge at 5 pm to give students and their friends and/or parents an opportunity to view the artwork hanging in the building, and the film festival consisting of videos created in the Com Tech and Media Arts classes.

At 6 pm, everyone moved into the theatre for the awards. Awards were announced by Arts Council members and presented by the various arts teachers. Mixed into the hour of awards were some short performances by students in our arts community.

This was a wonderful opportunity to showcase our student artistic talent and celebrate female artists.
