Afghan Dreamers Celebrate International Women's Day with SMLS

SMLS was privileged to enjoy an incredible morning with The Afghan Dreamers for International Women's Day on March 8. A special assembly was held to mark the occasion, including a welcome by Head of School Nancy Richards, address by Head Girl Melanie Peck '18 and musical performance by Kathleen Kovacs '19 among other addresses. The highlight was the words of the Afghan Dreamers themselves. Members of the team gave a powerful speech that truly demonstrated their courage in the face of challenges and their passion for women's education, particularly in the field of STEM. Thank you to these young women for inspiring and empowering all of us.
