Welcome to St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School
Dear SMLS Community,
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to the 2022-23 school year. As we usher in this new academic year, there is a palpable sense of excitement and optimism permeating within our
school and our school community.
We emerge from the global pandemic with newfound resilience and strength, and we cherish our SMLS community connections with more reverence than ever before. Under the leadership of our Head of School, the dedicated Senior Leadership Team, Faculty, and Staff, the School will continue delivering an unparalleled academic experience for your daughters - one that centers around the whole girl and that allows each girl to find and develop her passions.
The Board of Governors is extremely proud of, and confident in, the strength of the SMLS community. This year, together, we will embark on a bold new future for our School as we prepare to launch a new Strategic Plan. The result of significant community consultation, this
new strategic plan charts a course forward for our school, ensuring that SMLS is well positioned - and that its students are well positioned - to continue challenging and transforming the world.
The year ahead holds great promise, and we eagerly go forward with stronger than ever sense of confidence and excitement, resilience and strength, and a sense of togetherness and community. I look forward to seeing you at parent and community events throughout the year and thank you, in advance, for all of your support and trust in our first-rate, high-performing, world-class all-girls School.
