Kyra G. is Making a Difference!

SMLS student Kyra G. in involved with Children in Action, and recently attended three We Day events, starting with "Evening of Champions", then "Fan Zone" and an entire day in the stadium for We Day.  "It left us all feeling empowered!" she said!  

Stats say that 350,000 students want tickets to We Day and only 20,000 students get to attend.  From those 20,000, only 150 are invited to "Evening of Champions". Congratulations Kyra - you should be so proud!  

It is clear that she is making a difference and it is certainly being noticed!

Last year Children in Action raised $5,000 to build a water well in Africa. This year the goal is to raise enough money to build 3 schools, with a target of $30,000.  At a recent Chalk It Up! event, the group raised $2,500.  Says Kyra: "It is a wonderful feeling when an organization like Free The Children recognizes the effort we put into making a difference."
