The Journey Continues

Meeting the needs of girls as they grow through the physical, emotional and intellectual phases from Grade 7 to 12 is critical to their educational success. In St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School's Senior School we meet those needs in a girl-focused supportive and challenging environment. Students are encouraged to discover their passion as they learn about themselves and the way that they learn best.

A challenging academic program supported by technology enables students to develop the skills and attitudes that will see them through post-secondary learning and beyond. Our graduate survey confirms this and enables us to further enhance the program to build future success in an ever-changing world.

Beyond the classroom, our unique Global Studies program challenges our students year-by-year to step incrementally further outside their comfort zone. We offer experiences that include: travel internationally to 'sister schools', wilderness adventures, service projects in world environments, and the opportunity to develop an understanding of future careers through job shadowing and co-operative placements. The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is also a prominent element in this continuing personal development.

The St. Mildred's-Lightbourn School experience for our Senior Students is further enhanced with rich co-curricular opportunities. Through the arts, athletics, robotics and academic clubs, our students develop confidence. They learn that they can do anything and when the world is calling our graduates, they are ready!
