What sports/activities do you participate in at SMLS/outside of school?
- Etobicoke Dolphins Midget A hockey team
- Toronto Warriors rep spring hockey team
- Islington Rangers U15/U18 soccer team
- U15 SMLS soccer team
- U16 SMLS soccer team
- U20 SMLS soccer team (went to the national tournament)
- Member of Lambton Golf and Tennis Club and Grenadier Island Country Club

Why do you LOVE being physically active?
I love being physically active because I love how it makes me and my body feel. When I work out or play sports, it gives me an adrenaline rush that I can’t get anywhere else. Being active helps take stress out of your life and it makes you think positive rather than focusing on the negatives.

What have been your BIG accomplishments this year?
- becoming captain of the SMLS U16 soccer team
- getting MVP of the U15 soccer team
- being asked to go to a recruiting seminar at St. Lawrence University
- making a midget A hockey team in my first year playing midget
- Winning the girls valley club championships for my golf club

What does being Athlete of the Month mean to you?
This is a huge honour to me. I feel really respected by my coaches and the people that nominated me for this. It is a really good feeling to be Athlete of the Month in my first year here at SMLS. Over my first year I have grown as an athlete and a student and feel like I have definitely fit in to the community.

What is your favourite sport? Why?
I have been playing hockey and soccer for the majority of my life so I really can’t choose which sport is my favourite. When I play these sports I feel really good about myself and I get a rush of confidence. I play hockey and soccer to improve as an athlete and become the best and strongest person I can be.

Do you have an athlete that you admire or a role model?
One of the athletes that I admire is Jennifer Botterill. She has worked with me in the past and continues to work with my teams and me. She continues to give me inspiring pep talks to be the best I can be and always wants us to dream big and never give up on our passions, even when times get tough. She is a 4 time gold medalist for Team Canada’s women’s hockey team and now works as a sports broadcaster. Thanks to her I am motivated to follow my dream of playing hockey professionally.
