The MS1's and their teachers have safely arrived in Ottawa! They started their day exploring Upper Canada Village just outside Morrisborg, learning about the lives of settlers in the 1800's. The girls were engaged in interactive activities and presentations by historical interpretors in the village. Some highlights included the ice-cream parlour, tin smith, shoe maker, and the farm, where we witnessed a sheep being shaved, and got to pet baby pigs running freely!

They continued their journey towards Ottawa and upon arrival, enjoyed a delicious fajita dinner at Lone Star Cafe. In the evening, they explored the city by foot on an evening walking tour, led by a real life ghost! Although the ghost was actually their tour guide from Temple and Temple, the girls were opened to the playfulness of this dramatic presentation and one student even commented, "It's more fun to believe she's actually real!"

The tour guides have commented on how thoughtful and inquisitive our girls are, and are very impressed by their respectfulness, politeness, and openness to learning. The MS1's did an excellent job representing our school!  Looking forward to more news from this group!
