Preschoolers Follow the Yellow Brick Road

Inquiry-based learning at its best! One day, Ms. Krista, Preschool Supervisor/Teacher, mentioned that one of her students in braids looked like Dorothy from Wizard of Oz. That set off a whole lesson, initiated by the girls themselves!

First, Ms. Krista showed them a clip of the movie on YouTube. Then they looked around their classroom to see what materials they could use to make some of the characters, starting with the beloved Tin Man.  Then next morning their lesson culminated with the making of their very own Yellow Brick Road and costumes, as well as a photo shoot.
