Twelve Millies recently travelled to Upper Canada College to take part in the 2016 Ontario Model United Nations symposium. The conference is designed to provide students an opportunity to engage in rich discussion and debate around a wide range of current and historical issues. With committees ranging from the World Health Organization to NATO to Security Council and the Medellin Cartel (run by our very own Amy Li, Rishika Sharma and Rahina Damji), our girls played the roles of diplomats and political negotiators in working to draft resolutions and take action on an ever-growing number of crises.

They had the opportunity to meet and work with students from several GTA schools during this incredible two-day event, and will be sure to return for another round of negotiations next year. Thank you to Mr. Read for supervising our team!
