"While studying at the University of Toronto, I've been maintaining my own lifestyle blog and writing as a freelancer for Career Girl Daily, Elite Daily, and other companies. This January, I applied for a writing position at Fashion Scout London and received the position of Writer and Newsletter Manager.  I flew to London for Fashion Week AW16 and worked with the Fashion Scout Digital Media team to compile a collection of backstage insights, announcements, interviews, and show reviews from the week.

Over the duration, I had four articles published by Fashion Scout, got to sit FROW (aka front row) at several runway shows , meet tons of industry professionals, and curate ten newsletters for a media list of approximately 5,000 contacts.  It was an incredible experience that has given me the confidence to continue in the field, pursuing my interests in both writing and the arts.  I have to mention that my application wouldn't have been as strong as it was without the support I was given by the English department at SMLS.  From the age of ten, my English teachers at SMLS challenged me and motivated me to extend my skills, seeing the potential in me that needed a little coaxing.  Through Mrs. Hutton and Ms. Scott, I found a passion for words that has led me to great heights, and greater heights hopefully to come!"
