Supporting scholarships and bursaries to attract the best and the brightest from our community
The girls and young women who attend SMLS are exceptionally privileged. Their families believe in the value of high quality, single-gender education and have the financial resources to allow them to attend an outstanding independent school. As a result they benefit from great teachers, small classes, unique programs, many leadership opportunities, and the support of a close School community.
The SMLS Scholarship and Bursary Fund allows those girls who require financial support to access our wonderful School. During 2007/2008, more than $212,000 in scholarships and bursaries were distributed to 49 deserving girls. With your help, our goal is to increase the amount of funds available.
By contributing to the SMLS Scholarship and Bursary Fund, you are reaching out to your community, ensuring that other bright, motivated girls can enjoy the same opportunities as your own. Because the funds are permanently invested (and only the income is used), your gift will continue giving forever.
A named scholarship or bursary can be established with a pledge of $25,000 or more, payable over 5 years.
